About Us
Artur Hintz Trafo-Wartung GmbH is a family-run maintenance company for all transformer types, headquartered in Neuhofen in the Palatinate. The company services distribution transformers of the medium voltage level as well as grid and machine transformers of the high voltage level: on-site maintenance and servicing, factory overhaul of distribution transformers, insulating oil treatment and insulating oil replacement including waste oil disposal, oil analysis according to DIN EN 60422, and electrical measurement and testing according to DIN VDE 0532. For the diagnosis of insulation damage, loss factor measurements (tan δ, 0.1 Hz) and partial discharge measurements up to 400 kV are performed on oil-filled and cast-resin transformers, bushings and cables. Another focus is the Neutrafoservice offered for around 30 years: the refilling of large transformers under vacuum according to the factory standards of European transformer manufacturers, with mobile oil treatment systems for mineral oils and ester liquids as well as vacuum pump sets up to 2,700 m³/h. In addition, work on transformers in locomotives and multiple-unit trains is offered, along with the disposal of PCB-containing and PCB-free transformer oils (up to 50 ppm LAGA). The service area is Germany and Europe, with equipped workshop vehicles and its own oil analysis and testing laboratory at the Neuhofen site.

The work is performed by experienced skilled personnel with equipment according to the factory standards of European transformer manufacturers. Oil analysis results are assigned to the relevant standards (including IEC 60156, IEC 62021, IEC 60567/60599, DIN EN 12766, DIN EN 61198) and evaluated according to DIN EN 60422; electrical testing is carried out according to DIN VDE 0532.
