About August Weber
August Weber is a sole proprietorship based in Mönchengladbach that manufactures model railway accessories and accessory components for heritage railways. The product range includes fitting and equipment components in the scales 1:32 (Gauge 1) and 1:45 (Gauge 0) as well as components in 1:1 for heritage railways in Europe, including axle box pins, shafts and valve cones. Production takes place exclusively in Germany in the company's own manufacturing facility on CNC machines and modern 3D printers; in addition, custom-made one-off parts are produced to customer specifications. Parts are made from special steel, C45, stainless steel and concrete (fine concrete casting) as well as plastic. The processes include CNC turning, 3D printing, engraving, polishing, plasma nitriding and hand-applied weathering (ageing/patina). All rust-coloured items are made of steel and really do rust. The products are aimed at heritage railways, private railway enthusiasts and railway modelling.

Railway-related structures such as outbuildings, telephone booths and base plates are made from concrete using the fine casting process.
Special steel
Rust-coloured items such as oil drums and gas bottles are made from special steel and really do rust.
C45
Material used for axle box pins, which are plasma nitrided to 45 HRC.
