Company Profile
awab Umformtechnik und Präzisionsmechanik GmbH is a specialist in metal spinning and manufactures formed parts from all cold-formable materials. Its range of services includes horizontal flow spinning on a CNC-controlled three-roller flow-turning machine (component diameter 30–340 mm, component length max. 1,150 mm, sheet thicknesses 0.2–8 mm) as well as vertical spinning on a 6-axis CNC spinning center for rotationally symmetrical geometries. This is complemented by conventional forming processes such as cutting, blanking, punching, deep drawing, bending, flanging and beading, as well as the production of turned parts on automatic lathes and CNC cycle lathes. Component completion includes mechanical finishing, welding processes (TIG, MIG/MAG, spot welding, stud welding), assembly of assemblies and leak testing; the company also has its own tool design and toolmaking. Around 30 employees work on approximately 2,000 m² of production and administration space for customers from mechanical engineering, fittings and appliance manufacturing, pump and fire-fighting technology, medical technology, food equipment as well as research and development, also in small and medium batch sizes.
