Company
B. Strautmann & Söhne GmbH u. Co. KG is a medium-sized family business in the Osnabrück district, now run by the fourth generation. The company manufactures agricultural machinery for cattle feeding, green forage harvesting, universal spreading and transport technology, as well as dosing and feeding technology for biogas plants – including feed mixer wagons, universal spreaders, loading wagons, tipping trailers, grab buckets and cutting shears. On more than 53,000 m² of covered production space in Bad Laer, around 395 employees produce the majority of the product range. Production includes sheet metal processing, welded assemblies, surface technology (own Strautmann surface technology since 2019) and final assembly; among other wear-resistant materials, Hardox is used in spreading mechanisms. Additional production sites are Pol-Strautmann in Lwówek (Poland) and Strautmann Gepgyartas Hungaria Kft in Mátészalka/Matranovak (Hungary) with sheet metal fabrication and welded components. The machines are sold to almost the whole world.
