About baumeister
Since 1980, baumeister GmbH u. Co. KG has developed and produced its own technical products at its Balingen-Ostdorf site. The company handles tasks in drive technology, kinematics, physics, electronics and hydraulics. The product portfolio includes electrically driven swivel casters and twin casters with recuperation brake, the electric fifth drive wheel 5-DRIVE, electrically driven bicycle trailers (4-Drive, Box-DRIVE, Max1, Max2), an electric pallet cart for Euro pallets, and motorized products for the medical and wellness sector such as the Laufboy walking aid and the all-terrain Quattro-Boy. Design and manufacturing take place in the company's own production and administration buildings with a total area of approx. 3,500 m²; licensed production is partially awarded to suitable partners. The materials used are mainly aluminium for frame systems and profiles. A key focus is energy recovery (recuperation), in which kinetic energy is fed back into the battery. Around 40 patent and intellectual property applications document the company's own development activity.
