Bechtold & Sohn is a family business founded in 1885, now in its fifth generation, with its headquarters in Oberzent (Beerfelden) in the Odenwald region. The company manufactures plastic parts using injection moulding and extrusion blow moulding: round canisters, round bottles, square canisters, oval bottles, bellows, soap dispensers, wound drainage systems and precision injection-moulded parts in single or multi-cavity configurations. The main materials processed are HDPE and LDPE, on request with pharmaceutical approval and in various colours. Production runs in 3-shift operation on injection moulding machines from Arburg and Krauss Maffei; the quality management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. The focus is on custom solutions and small series as well as continuous research and development. In addition to its headquarters, the company has operated a production facility in Kralovice, Czech Republic, since 1998, with 3,000 m² of production space and 50 employees. Customers come mainly from the pharmaceutical, medical, chemical and cosmetic sectors as well as from consumer goods retailing.
