About Blue Production

Blue Production is a contract manufacturer based in Paderborn, centrally located in East Westphalia, specialising in additive manufacturing processes. The company produces prototypes, models, copies and small series in plastics and metal directly from 3D CAD data – without tools. The core process is Selective Laser Sintering (SLS/LS), in which plastic or metal powder is fused layer by layer with a laser; in addition, Blue Production offers 3D printing, stereolithography and vacuum casting in silicone moulds for small series. The service portfolio also includes development, engineering, design optimisation, model making and toolmaking (Rapid Tooling). On approximately 1,000 m² of production space, several 3D printers as well as six EOS laser sintering machines are available. Plastic and metal components are used in mechanical and special machinery engineering, equipment manufacturing, medical technology, the food and automotive supply industries, as well as by architects, designers, museums and advertising materials manufacturers. The company is a member of the Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC).
