BOMAFA Armaturen GmbH is a medium-sized, fourth-generation family-owned company based in Bochum that has been developing and manufacturing valves for the water-steam cycle since 1919. The product range includes steam control valves, turbine bypass stations, HP gate valves, desuperheaters, steam diffuser baskets, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic actuator systems including hydraulic power units, control cabinets and PLC programming. Manufacturing takes place at the Germany Competence Center in Bochum with a high level of vertical integration, complemented by CNC contract manufacturing for mechanical engineering, mechanical overhaul, thermal spraying (components up to 8,300 mm in length and 1,500 mm in diameter, on-site up to 2,500 mm) and the KS-Inductive Coat coating process of Karl Schumacher GmbH. Materials such as V2A and V4A steels and stellite-coated seat surfaces are used, among other things, in build-up welding. Customers include thermal power plants, the chemical, paper and pulp, biomass and steel industries, research institutions and mechanical engineering.
