Metal and Glass Building Elements from a Single Source
BURKA Metallbau GmbH was founded in 1971 in Biberach an der Riß and manufactures metal and glass building elements for commercial, industrial, and public sector construction. The portfolio includes aluminum windows and doors, entrance and automatic door systems, smoke and fire protection doors with fire-rated glazing, aluminum, glass, and steel facades, shop display systems, facade cladding in wood, fiber cement, or metal, awnings and shading structures, and balcony glazing and special constructions. The processing of aluminum profiles and sheets is done in-house with double miter saws, a machining center, punching, a swivel bending machine, and welding technology; surface treatment via powder coating or anodization is outsourced. Technical order processing is handled using CAD software in air-conditioned office space. Since 1999/2000, the company has been operating a production facility of approximately 3400 m² in Ummendorf near Biberach and is primarily active in the Stuttgart, Munich, and Lake Constance regions. Customers mainly include general contractors, the public sector, and architects.
