About Carolinenhütte
CAROLINENHÜTTE GmbH in Kallmünz is an iron foundry run as a family business in its fifth generation. It produces technically demanding castings in grey cast iron (EN-GJL-200 to EN-GJL-350) and spheroidal graphite cast iron (EN-GJS-350-22 to EN-GJS-600-3) using the hand moulding process for one-off and small-series production. The weight range extends from 2 kg (grey cast iron) or 50 kg (spheroidal graphite cast iron) up to a maximum of 9 t piece weight with dimensions of up to 4400 x 4400 mm. The range of services includes foundry consulting, solidification simulation, printed cores, pattern making, prototype production by full-mould casting, as well as CNC machining, painting and assembly – supplemented by machining via partner companies. The castings are used, among other things, in turbine manufacturing, automotive engineering, drive technology, machine tool construction, gearbox and pump manufacturing, shipbuilding as well as general mechanical and plant engineering. The sales market focuses primarily on Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
