COBES GmbH, headquartered in Ettenheim (Baden-Württemberg), is a manufacturer of induction heating systems with more than three decades of experience as a manufacturer of inductors. The portfolio ranges from the standard i-class series induction generator (power levels from 500 W to 12 kW, frequencies 10–500 kHz), via the compact 5-kW inverter i-class compact (ICC), the entry-level models i-class lean (ICL) and the small and compact oscillators, to generators with up to 1 MW of power, the i-class SK tank circuit technology up to 100 kW, and special systems built to customer requirements. In addition to induction heating, the company offers expertise in capacitive heating, plasma thin-film technology and dental laboratory equipment, as well as applications such as induction hardening, forging, annealing, tempering, brazing/soldering, welding and cap sealing in packaging technology. Every project begins with technical and commercial consulting as well as FEM simulation and practical testing of inductors; induction generators can be borrowed before purchase. Customers are found in metal processing, the automotive industry, plastics processing, dental technology, the glass industry and in high-temperature applications such as vacuum die casting and sintering furnaces. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
