Dental laboratory in Karlsruhe – analogue and digital dental technology

Dentaltechnik Knebelsberger is a dental laboratory in Karlsruhe that has been producing analogue and digital dental technology since 1981. The company, with more than 40 employees, covers the entire spectrum of prosthetic care: crowns, bridges, inlays, veneers, implant prosthetics, splint therapy, temporaries, fracture repairs and aligner treatments. Production is carried out using CAD/CAM systems and a milling machine installed since 2011, complemented by 3D printing (material jetting) and classic casting of precious metal alloys. Materials used include zirconium oxide, lithium disilicate (e.max, Suprinity), precious metal alloys, gold, ceramics and PMMA-free specialty plastics such as PEEK, BioHPP, acetal and PAEK materials. A key focus is instrumental functional diagnostics for craniomandibular dysfunctions (CMD) using the DIR® system and Zebris axiography. Since 2009 the laboratory has held the GZM quality seal of Holistic Dental Medicine and works exclusively with CE-marked materials.

Materials processed

ZrO2

Zirconium oxide

Metal-free, biocompatible and durable material for framework structures, allergen-neutral and suitable for allergy sufferers.

LS2

Lithium disilicate (e.max, Suprinity)

For highly aesthetic restorations in the anterior tooth region with good mechanical properties.

AuPtPd

Precious metal alloys

Gold, platinum and palladium alloys, high-gold content, reduced or non-precious, for crowns, bridges and frameworks.

Au-fräsen

Milled precious metal alloys

Milled from new material under reproducible manufacturing parameters, without segregation – for irritation-free gingival adaptation.

PEEK

PAEK/specialty plastics (PEEK, BioHPP, acetal, Luxene, Clearsplint, Puran HC)

PMMA-free, biocompatible plastics for prosthetics, splints and clasp prosthetics.

Guss

Precious metal casting

Classic casting process for high-gold, reduced and non-precious alloys.

Keramik

Ceramic

Veneering material for precious metal alloys and all-ceramic restorations.
