Dermapharm AG, founded in 1991, is a fast-growing manufacturer of branded pharmaceuticals and other healthcare products headquartered in Grünwald near Munich. The group comprises around 3,500 employees at more than 20 sites in Europe and the USA. The integrated business model spans in-house development and regulatory approval, production, quality management and logistics through to distribution by a pharmaceutical-trained field sales force. The central production site for development, manufacturing and logistics is mibe GmbH Arzneimittel in Sandersdorf-Brehna, with more than 50,000 m² of floor space and over 650 employees; products manufactured there include sterile pharmaceuticals such as ampoules and freeze-dried products, tablets, dragees, capsules, ointments, solutions, drops and sprays, meaning that around 90 % of Dermapharm products are manufactured in-house. Further production sites are Trommsdorff in Alsdorf and Anton Hübner in Ehrenkirchen; distribution companies are located in Hünenberg (Switzerland) and Vienna. The portfolio comprises more than 1,200 pharmaceutical marketing authorizations with over 380 active ingredients, as well as dietary supplements, medical devices, cosmetics, plant extracts and medical cannabis.
