Company
Dipl.-Ing. Siegfried Müller Druckguss is a family-run company founded in 1948, now managed by the second generation and based in Velbert. The company manufactures demanding zinc die-cast parts using the hot-chamber process on 11 die casting machines with clamping forces of 20 to 315 tonnes; castable piece weights range from 1 g to 5 kg, with up to 400 components per hour possible depending on the cast part. The value chain includes design and development with CAD (Solid Works, Pro/Engineer) and mold filling simulation, in-house mold and toolmaking, machining, deburring, assembly of fully assembled units as well as arranging surface treatments via qualified suppliers. Zinc alloys in accordance with EN 12844 or primary alloys (smelter-grade refined zinc alloy per EN 1774:1997) from European manufacturers are used. The more than 2,000 different articles find buyers in industries such as medical technology, electrical engineering, automotive, mechanical engineering, furniture, lighting and sanitary ware as well as security and locking technology. The company employs over 90 permanent staff on more than 3,000 m² of production space in Velbert.
