Additive Manufacturing with Mechanical Engineering Experience
ecus3D is a sole proprietorship specialised in industrial additive manufacturing, based in Bogen in Lower Bavaria. The company produces functional plastic parts using the FDM/FFF process – from prototypes and functional samples to jigs, tooling and spare parts through to one-off parts and small series. Owner Marcus Ecker, a state-certified mechanical engineering technician with more than 15 years of design and project experience, manages projects from consulting and potential analysis through design and optimisation to finished part production. The range of services is complemented by training and knowledge transfer in additive manufacturing. Technical filaments are used, including carbon-fibre-reinforced PPS-CF for high-load, temperature- and chemical-resistant parts as well as flexible TPU for compliant and damping components. The focus is on mechanical and special machine engineering; parts are shipped throughout Germany.

Materials & Processes
PPS-CF (polyphenylene sulfide, carbon-fibre-reinforced)
Rigid, dimensionally stable function parts resistant to chemical and thermal loads, such as brackets, jig components and components for plant engineering.
TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane)
Flexible, elastic parts such as gripper pads, buffers, protective caps and strain reliefs with a damping function.
FDM/FFF 3D printing
Additive layer-building process for producing functional plastic parts from one-off pieces to small series.
