About Edelstahl-Schmitt

Edelstahlverarbeitung Schmitt GmbH, headquartered in Taubenheim/Spree (Sohland an der Spree) between Bautzen and Görlitz, has been one of the leading metalworking companies in Saxony and beyond for over 50 years. The company manufactures components and assemblies from stainless steel, aluminium and steel – from tube and profile stairs to staircases, railings and handrails, as well as grab poles for rail vehicles, mailbox systems, facades, canopies and custom-made products. Core competencies are CNC tube and profile bending, sheet metal processing, welding and surface finishing according to customer specifications. In addition, the company offers assembly and contract manufacturing, series production, assembly services as well as development and manufacture of prototypes. With three modern plants and one of the largest bending centres in eastern Germany, Edelstahl-Schmitt supplies customers in the region, in the greater Dresden area, in the DACH region and in Europe. Since 2024, the edelstahl concept business unit has complemented the portfolio with sheet metal processing and commercial kitchen furniture manufacturing.
