About us
Einsiedler Blechnerei GmbH is a contract manufacturer for sheet metal working based in the Gornau industrial park near Chemnitz. The company manufactures laser-cut parts, covers, hoods, pans, mounting plates, control cabinets, enclosures and welded assemblies up to 150 kg from customer drawings from a quantity of 1 – with a focus on installable parts for mechanical and plant engineering as well as electrical engineering, lighting technology and ventilation technology. Production includes laser cutting (fiber and CO2 lasers up to 3000x1500 mm), punching/nibbling technology, CNC bending on three press brakes up to 3000 mm bending length, horizontal and roll bending, welding (MIG, MAG, TIG, spot welding, stud welding), mechanical machining, riveting, insertion of fasteners and assembly of assemblies. Materials processed include steel up to 20 mm, galvanized steel sheets, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, spring steels (C67, C75, 1.4310) as well as perforated sheets and profile steels. Surface finishing (painting, powder coating, galvanizing, etc.) is carried out by long-standing partners. Since 2012 the company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 (since 2015: 9001:2015, TÜV Süd) and supplies customers such as Bosch Rexroth, Festo, Starrag Heckert and Fraunhofer IWU in Saxony, Germany and abroad.

History
- 1960er
Sheet metal working tradition established at the Chemnitz-Einsiedel site as an external plant division of VEB Großdrehmaschinenbau 8. Mai Karl-Marx-Stadt (later NILES-SIMMONS).
- 1990
Founding of Einsiedler Blechnerei GmbH on 01.12.1990 by Rolf Strnad and André Haase via management buy out; reorientation as a contract manufacturer.
- 2012
Certification to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008; start of planning for a new factory building.
- 2014
Company relocation in November to the new factory building in the Gornau industrial park; Rolf Strnad leaves the company.
