About ELWA
ELWA is a family business founded in 1931 and now run by the third generation, headquartered in Maisach near Munich. On a production area of 6,400 m², the company manufactures and assembles industrial electric flow heaters, tank heaters, preheating modules for any media, and Power-to-Heat systems for converting surplus electricity into heat. Production also includes pressure vessels, pipework, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, frame constructions, switch cabinets and systems. Welding is carried out to EN ISO 3834-2 using MAG and TIG processes on unalloyed steels and austenitic Cr-Ni steels; Type 4600 pressure vessels made from HII steel and stainless steel are approved by classification societies such as Bureau Veritas, DNV, ABS, CCS and RINA. Customers come from shipbuilding, industry, energy systems, motorsport, chemicals, the food industry and municipal utilities. The service portfolio ranges from consulting and engineering through production to commissioning, maintenance, repair and service contracts in the DACH region.
