ESD Electronic Service & Design GmbH has been an EMS provider (Electronic Manufacturing Services) since 1994, based in Bad Sassendorf, North Rhine-Westphalia. As a family-owned company, the company manufactures and assembles electronic assemblies using SMT, THT and THR technology – from prototype and sample production through small series to series production. The service portfolio includes material procurement, rework, coating and sealing of assemblies, soldering under nitrogen atmosphere (RoHS-compliant or leaded), device assembly, wiring, cable assembly as well as control cabinet construction and switchgear installations. Quality assurance is carried out, among other methods, by means of AOI, in-circuit test, burn-in and individual electrical final tests according to IPC-A-610; the company is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. In addition, ESD operates a calibration laboratory for electrical and mechanical measuring instruments with DAkkS-accredited measured quantities, a repair service including chip-level rework, and a DGUV V3 inspection service. Customers come, among others, from the security, medical, rail and power plant control technology sectors as well as from point-of-sale (POS) systems.
