About Excella
Excella GmbH & Co. KG is a contract manufacturer (CDMO) for pharmaceutical active ingredients (APIs) and finished dosage forms based in Feucht near Nuremberg. With around 650–670 employees, we develop and produce active ingredients to international standards, with a focus on high potent active ingredients of OEB levels 4 to 6 at workplace exposure limits down to 10 ng/m³. The API synthesis covers more than 100 organic reaction types with up to 12 synthesis steps in reactors of 250 l and 800 l as well as large-scale production reactors of 4,000 l (up to OEB 4); production quantities range from 100 g to 20 t. In the area of finished dosage forms, Excella covers galenic development and manufacturing of tablets and capsules including packaging, including clinical phases II and III as well as commercial manufacturing for more than 100 countries.
