Full-service provider for profile extrusion since 1977
Exelliq is a full-service provider for plastic profile extrusion headquartered in Nußbach, Upper Austria. The company develops, designs and manufactures extrusion tools, extrusion lines and turn-key complete systems – from recipe and profile development through tool and machine engineering to commissioning of entire extrusion plants. Capacity comprises around 100 extrusion lines and 700 tools per year. Process engineering focuses include co-extrusion with a high proportion of recycled regrind, physical foaming of WPC hollow-chamber profiles (FOAM.EX), digitalization and automation (DIGI.LINE, FLOW.MATIC, iQ.STACK) as well as in-line quality assurance with automatic profile weighing. Materials processed include PVC, ABS, PC, PC-ABS, PE, PMMA, PP, WPC and glass-fibre-reinforced plastics; large profiles and panels up to a profile width of 1,000 mm are possible (XXL.TOOLING). With FEM simulations, rheological measurements and material analyses in its own R&D centre as well as three Tech.Tuning.Center facilities with 12 trial lines and 33 extruders, Exelliq serves profile manufacturers worldwide, especially from the window and construction industry and technical profile extrusion. More than 80 granted patents document the company's development activity since 1977.

Materials and processes
PVC
Main material for window and construction profiles, also in co-extrusion with a 55–65% recycled core content (LAYER.COEX plus).
WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite)
Hollow-chamber profiles, optionally physically foamed with FOAM.EX to reduce weight and costs.
ABS
Thermoplastic for technical profiles.
Polycarbonate (PC)
For multiwall sheets and transparent or high-load profiles.
PC-ABS
Blends for technical applications.
Polyethylene (PE)
Plastic for technical profiles.
PMMA
Acrylic for profiles with high surface requirements.
Polypropylene (PP)
Plastic for technical profiles.
Glass-fibre-reinforced plastics
Reinforced thermoplastics for technically stressed profiles.
Co-extrusion
Conversion of mono tools to co-extrusion, total cost savings of up to 18% compared with mono extrusion.
Physical foaming
Foaming of WPC hollow-chamber profiles to reduce weight and material costs.
XXL.TOOLING
Tool system for large profiles, panels and multiwall sheets with profile widths up to 1,000 mm.
