About Ferro Umformtechnik
Ferro Umformtechnik is a supplier specialised in sheet metal working and component manufacturing, headquartered in Stadtlohn in the Münsterland region. The company produces custom parts and assemblies in small and large series, with a focus on large-format components such as boom shells for mobile cranes, aerial work platforms and telehandlers. Its range of services includes engineering and development, materials consulting and complete material management with a warehouse of around 10,000 tonnes of materials, laser cutting, bending up to 16,700 mm in length, automated surface processing and laser beam welding. The steels processed include high- and ultra-high-strength as well as wear-resistant steels up to S1300QL and HB500, with traceability via acceptance test certificates to DIN EN 10204. From 2008, the strategy was realigned from drawing-based parts manufacturing to component manufacturing; mechanical machining and surface finishing are supplemented through a partner network. In 2020, Ferro Service Sp. z o.o. was founded in Gubin (Poland) as a partner company for small parts up to 4 m in length. Founded in 1996, the company employs more than 212 people on 34,000 m² of production and warehouse space and delivers throughout Europe.
