FREDKALWA GmbH is a medium-sized, owner-managed surface technology company based in the Stuttgart area. Since its founding in 1995 as Fred Kalwa Surface Technology, the company has specialized in thermal spraying and performs functional, wear protection, and repair coatings on a wide variety of components. Various spraying processes are employed, including arc, powder, high-speed flame spraying (HVOF), plasma, as well as rod and wire flame spraying. Laser cladding was incorporated into the portfolio in early 2022 to expand the repair offerings. In addition, the company offers sleeve restoration, precision grinding (external and internal cylindrical grinding) for single parts and small series production, mechanical workshop services, and scrap rescue. Customers come from industry and trades; services are provided far beyond the Stuttgart area.
