About us
Gemet Metallbau AG is an independent metal construction company from the Emmental region, based in Dürrenroth. The family-owned business plans, produces and installs metal construction work for private, commercial and public construction projects throughout Switzerland. Its range of services covers general metal construction and locksmith work, structural constructions, steel construction (halls, steel frameworks, roof and façade) as well as glass and façade construction with windows, doors, gates and façade elements. Products manufactured include railings, balconies, canopies and staircases made of steel, metal and aluminium; there is a dedicated department for aluminium work. Customers receive the complete project from a single source – from planning and design through manufacturing in the company's own workshop to installation on the construction site. In 2025, the company processed around 29 tonnes of steel, installed around 380 metres of railing and managed several construction sites in parallel. With around 32 employees, in-house training of apprentices and a branch in Niederbuchsiten, the company is firmly rooted in the region and handles demanding projects across Switzerland.
