About Gierich

Gierich GmbH is a specialised electroplating company based in Neuss. The company finishes metallic surfaces by means of electroplating with gold, silver, platinum, nickel and copper as well as the dark grey coating Vulkan Grey. Depending on the material, different properties result: gold offers corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity, silver antibacterial effect and conductivity, nickel serves primarily as a diffusion barrier for gold layers and as an alternative to chrome, copper is characterised by high electrical conductivity. The coatings are used, among other things, in the electronics industry, medical technology, musical instrument making, for sanitary fittings, for sacred objects as well as for private restorations such as cutlery. Small orders from a processing value of 25 euros net are also accepted. The traditional company, founded in 1948 by Willy Gierich in Düsseldorf, was relocated to Neuss after several generational handovers and converted into a GmbH; Damian Hallek has been Managing Director since January 2023.
