About Glavatec
Glavatec AG is a Swiss family-owned company based in Mollis in the canton of Glarus that develops, manufactures and installs vacuum cooling systems for industrial bakeries and the baked goods industry. The patented Rapid-Vacuum-Cooling process cools hot baked goods immediately after baking and can reduce cooling time by up to 90% compared with ambient cooling. This saves cooling space as well as baking and freezing energy; in addition, product volume, crumb structure, shelf life and hygiene are improved. Alongside the V1, V2 (scalable) and V3 system lines, Glavatec also offers consulting including calculation of application-specific savings potential as well as the specialized VacuumDay seminar series. The systems are assembled and installed on site at the customer, including fully automatic integration into existing production lines. The company was founded in 2013 by Florian and Kaspar Bäbler and is led by Flavia, Kaspar and Florian Bäbler.
