About GMH Gruppe
The GMH Gruppe is a German, 100% privately owned steel producer and processor headquartered in Georgsmarienhütte. Under the umbrella of the group, more than 20 medium-sized production companies with over 6,000 employees are bundled, specializing in steel, forging and casting. Since 1994, steel has been produced in electric arc furnaces from almost 100% scrap steel, resulting in around 80% less CO₂e in Scope 1 and 2 compared with the conventional blast furnace route; since 2023, fossil coal has been gradually replaced by biogenic process carbon. The product portfolio ranges from crude steel (ingots, semi-finished continuous cast products), tool steel and hot-rolled products to die-forged and open-die forged parts, steel castings, seamless rolled rings and stainless steel, as well as CNC components, piston rods and metal powders for additive manufacturing. Production is order-based from the raw material through to the ready-to-install component, including heat treatment, assembly and contract manufacturing. Customers include the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering, rail technology, aerospace, and agricultural and construction machinery; the group is active in 50 countries.

Quality & Sustainability
The CO₂e footprints of around 1,000,000 product variants are reported on the basis of a calculation methodology validated by TÜV SÜD (PCF Validation Statement). Production is carried out on an order basis according to customer requirements, from material development through to the ready-to-install component.
