About Go Textile!

Go Textile! is an initiative for attracting young talent to the German textile and apparel industry and is published by the Gesamtverband der deutschen Textil- und Modeindustrie e. V. (textil+mode), based in Berlin. The platform is aimed at school students, career entrants and those seeking further training and provides information on training occupations such as Machine and Plant Operator Textile Technology, Textile Production Mechanic, Textile Finisher, Textile Product Tester and Textile Product Designer. In addition to descriptions of training duration, requirements and earning potential, the portal offers a company directory of training companies from sectors such as technical textiles, automotive supply, home textiles and fashion, as well as an industry overview spanning energy and environment, medicine and transport. It also features career paths leading to technician, industrial foreman or university studies, plus application tips and blog posts on textile topics. Go Textile! is a training and marketing portal and is not itself a manufacturing company.
