About GRAG – Brazing technology since 1978
GRAG Precision Brazing AG is a company specialized in industrial brazing technology, headquartered in Frenkendorf near Liestal, Switzerland. Since 1978 the company has produced brazed joints and offers the processes HF brazing (induction brazing) with generators from 4 to 50 kW, flux-free brazing under protective gas in continuous furnaces, vacuum brazing and flame brazing. In addition, GRAG performs high-frequency surface hardening on steel components such as shafts, gears, racks and guide elements. Joined materials include steel, stainless steel, high-alloy materials, carbide, copper and brass. Customers come among others from the construction industry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, the automotive industry, heating technology and hydraulics; more than 90 regular customers rely on the company. The range of services also includes feasibility consulting, a brazeability check and quality control with 100% inspection.

Delivery
Materials and brazing processes
HF brazing (induction brazing)
Inductive heating of the joint with 4–50 kW generators; low thermal load and distortion, small to large series.
Brazing under protective gas
Flux-free brazing of series parts in continuous furnaces with a bright finish, especially for automotive, heating technology, hydraulics and mechanical engineering applications.
Vacuum brazing
Flux-free brazing with high repeatability of process quality and expanded joining options.
Flame brazing
Flexible, targeted heating of the joint area for individual parts, repairs and small and medium series.
Brazing
High-strength brazed joints of steel, stainless steel, carbide, copper and brass.
Hardening with high frequency (surface hardening)
Inductive surface hardening of steel components such as shafts, gears, racks and guide elements to increase wear resistance.
Steel
Base material for HF brazing, protective gas brazing and HF hardening.
Stainless steel / high-alloy materials
For flux-free, bright brazed joints in the protective gas and HF process.
Carbide
Material for joining with steel and other metals, e.g. in HF brazing.
Copper
Non-ferrous metal joined by HF brazing and protective gas brazing.
Brass
Non-ferrous metal for precise brazed joints in the HF process.
