Hamburger Metallveredlung H.M.V. GmbH is a specialist company for the surface finishing of aluminium workpieces based in Hamburg. The company anodizes aluminium components electrolytically, thereby producing hard, corrosion- and UV-resistant oxide layers for both technical and decorative applications. Before anodizing, all standardized pretreatment processes according to DIN 17611 (E0 to E8) are offered, including grinding, brushing, polishing and chemical brightening. Anodized layers can subsequently be colored by dip dyeing or electrolytic coloring; in addition, components are coated. The company advises customers on selecting the appropriate process and on alloy selection, especially for demanding projects and processes such as E7 and E8, which are not suitable for all aluminium alloys. For more than 39 years, HMV has been active as a service provider in surface finishing, finishing workpieces from single parts to series production at its Walddörferstraße site in Hamburg.
