Hellweg Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, based in Roetgen (North Rhine-Westphalia), is a family business founded in 1985 by Bernd Hellweg that specializes in the development and manufacture of size reduction machines – in particular cutting mills – for the plastics industry. The standardized product range includes laboratory mills, beside-the-press mills, toothed roller mills, central mills, lump mills, punched-grid mills and edge strip mills in various sizes, complemented by film cutters, guillotines, pipe cutters, dedusting systems, mobile extraction systems and complete fully automatic recycling systems. The cutting mills operate according to the shear-oblique-cut principle; the rotors are machined from a single piece of material and have no weld seams. Thermoplastics such as ABS, PA, PA66GF, PE, PP, PBT, PC, PS, POM as well as TPE, TPU and more are granulated. The products are manufactured in-house and subjected to extensive test runs before delivery. In addition, the company offers customer-specific special solutions, grinding trials in its own in-house laboratory, spare parts management and the digital Smart Control control system for energy-saving operation. Sales are handled worldwide through representatives in 17 countries.
