About Henke Modellbau
Henke Modellbau is a sole proprietorship based in Berlin that manufactures models of narrow-gauge rail vehicles in gauges 0e, 0m, 0f, 0nr and gauge 1. The portfolio includes model sets (BS) and fully assembled, painted finished models (FM) of powered vehicles such as the Saxon IV K and VI K, the Heeresfeldbahn locomotives HF 110 C and HF 130 C, railcars such as VT 137 and VT 303, and the Wismar rail bus, as well as freight and passenger cars and accessories such as turntables and buffers. Upgrade and retrofit kits are also offered, including for the conversion of the Fleischmann Stainz and the Bachmann flatcar. The vehicles are predominantly made of brass, partly in a wood-planked version; most products are sold via direct sales through a price list and the company's own website. The business, originally run by Mr. Winkler, was later taken over by Frank Gutschow. After the workshop was relocated from Bernau near Berlin to Berlin, operations have been at a standstill since 2024 for health reasons; according to customer reports, its continued existence is unclear.
