About Hertwig Härtetechnik
Hertwig GmbH is a contract manufacturer specializing in hardening technology, based in Lüdenscheid. The company performs nearly all established heat treatment processes on the market, including vacuum hardening, salt bath hardening, case hardening, hardening and tempering, gas, plasma and salt bath nitriding, as well as annealing and ageing. In addition, it offers surface treatments such as blackening, oxidizing and PVD and CVD coatings. The goal is to make tool and machine components more durable and wear-resistant. The service portfolio includes technical consulting, collection and delivery of workpieces, individual preparation of the hardening process, training courses, and a final quality inspection by independent inspectors. With around 110 employees at two sites, the company serves the toolmaking and mechanical engineering sectors and is available to customers around the clock.
