HKT Kälte- und Verdichterkomponenten UG (haftungsbeschränkt) in Halfing (Rosenheim district) manufactures and sells Goeldner reciprocating compressors in open and semi-hermetic designs. The open series O 12 to O 54 is approved for ammonia (NH3) and, since 2003, also for the ammonia/dimethyl ether mixture; the semi-hermetic series HS 12 to HS 54 has been produced only on individual request since 2019. The product range includes compressor units with liquid receivers, air- and water-cooled condensing units, two-stage compressors, and the Goeldner-Motion series with integrated frequency inverter for constant suction pressure control. In addition to new units, the company supplies spare parts, repairs compressors in the field, and offers engineering for refrigeration components. Production of the open NH3 compressors is carried out by the partner ABC Food Machinery in Slovakia, including NH3 liquid recirculation pumping stations in small series and combined liquid cooling units up to 1 MW. The export share is approximately 50 percent.

- 1987
HKT takes over production and distribution of the Goeldner compressors from the company Dieterich in Bruckmühl and relocates to Halfing; Karl Huber takes over management.
- 1990
First new development with oil pump module: types HS 23 and O 23, each in three piston stroke stages.
- 1991
Series IV and V receive the oil pump module; consistent continuation of the modular system.
- 1992
Approval of all 4-cylinder open-design models for ammonia and for operation with soft starters.
- 1993
Approval of the 2-cylinder models for NH3; complete open series with 12 types from 2.2 to 30 kW drive power, including the smallest NH3 compressor available on the market.
- 1994
All 4-cylinder models receive 50 percent capacity control via suction vapor throttling.
- 1997
HKT establishes contacts in China and supports ten companies with compressor manufacturing technology.

Presentation of the Goeldner-Motion series with directly flanged frequency inverter at the IKK in Nuremberg.

HS 22 is added to the Goeldner-Motion program; HKT becomes the first manufacturer to deliver ready-to-operate units for constant suction pressure control.

Goeldner-Motion is extended to HS 34, compressors with frequency inverter up to 7.5 kW.
