About HoDforming
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Düsseldorf, HoDforming GmbH develops, produces and distributes processes and products for the hot forming of metals. The core is the patented Hot-Die-Forming technology (HDF), in which tool and material are heated to the ideal forming temperature. This enables the economical forming of metal blanks, sheet metal and hollow bodies made of aluminium, steel, brass, titanium and other alloys with a melting point above 350 °C – from small batches to mass production. The focus is on ultra-high-strength metal alloys for extreme lightweight construction, in particular for the automotive industry. In addition to process development and integration into existing production lines, the company offers HoDSimVal, a self-developed software simulation tool for the simulation and validation of the HDF-F process for sheet metal. HoDforming is also active in research projects such as Lightness.NRW and H2-ENABLER for the cost-effective large-scale series production of H2 fuel cells.
