About Hug Oberflächentechnik AG

Hug Oberflächentechnik AG in Wolfwil SO specialises in the surface finishing of stainless steel and treats parts ranging from simple industrial components to high-quality components for medical technology, the pharmaceutical industry and sterile technology. Its core business comprises pickling, electropolishing and passivation; additionally, degreasing, blasting, grinding, polishing, ultrasonic cleaning as well as disassembly and assembly are offered. In electropolishing, metal ions are removed electrolytically from the surface, reducing micro-roughness and improving corrosion resistance and cleanability – from single parts to larger series. The company works exclusively with stainless steel and chrome-nickel steel and supplies industries such as plant and apparatus engineering, the food and beverage industry, chemicals, vacuum technology, laboratory technology, aviation and rail technology. The Wolfwil site, occupied in 2009, was built to optimise process flows and is located around 45 minutes from Zurich, Basel, Bern and Lucerne. A delivery and collection service, in-house jig and frame construction as well as transport-oriented special packaging round off the range of services.
