About Hunold Aluminium

Hunold GmbH & Co. KG (until 2021 Metallbau Johann Hunold GmbH & Co. KG) is a family business founded in 1949, now in its third generation, headquartered in Olpe in the Sauerland region. The company manufactures and distributes aluminium entrance doors, windows, sliding doors, glass façades and fire protection elements from the system manufacturers Schüco and Kawneer, and complements its portfolio with sun protection, plastic elements and trading in lift-and-slide doors as well as smoke and fire protection doors. The service chain includes consulting and planning of construction projects, manufacturing on modern machines with the company's own ERP software, installation, and delivery with its own vehicles. Through Hunold Service GmbH, founded in 2010, maintenance, servicing and repairs as well as inspections of automatic doors in accordance with DIN 18650 and fire protection elements are offered. Customers include architectural offices throughout Germany, large commercial projects and the building components trade, and increasingly also clients in neighbouring European countries. 55 skilled employees work at the Olpe site; an exhibition space of more than 400 m² showcases the product range.

Quality and Monitoring

Manufacturing and installation follow the system standards of the manufacturers Schüco and Kawneer; in the area of fire protection, approvals for several systems with classifications G30 to F90 are held. Hunold is a member of the Güte-Überwachungsgemeinschaft Feuerschutztüren NRW (quality monitoring association for fire doors) and is regularly externally monitored for these components; certification according to DIN ISO 9001 was announced.
