HWZ GmbH & Co. KG, based in Groß-Umstadt, is a supplier for machining technology with many years of experience in the machining of components and machine parts. The company manufactures CNC-milled parts on four machining centers (Mazak VCN 510 C, VCN 510 CII, VCN 530 C) with a working area of 1050 x 510 x 510 mm as well as CNC-turned parts on two Mazak Quick Turn machines and a twin-spindle turn-mill center. Further processes include sawing up to 340 mm diameter, welding (TIG, MMA, MAG), grinding (cylindrical, surface, centerless), keyway broaching of bores in P9 quality, as well as conventional drilling, turning and milling work. Parts are manufactured in, among other materials, aluminium, stainless steel and titanium; the range extends from individual parts through complete assemblies to special machines such as transport and conveying equipment and work platforms. In addition, HWZ offers surface finishing (anodizing, galvanizing, burnishing), heat treatment (hardening, induction hardening, various nitriding processes) as well as support in the development and design of components. Since 2015, 2D and 3D data can be read directly into the machine controls.
