About I-H&S
I-H&S GmbH from Backnang near Stuttgart has been on the market since 1987 and today is a specialised partner for used TRUMPF-brand CNC sheet metal processing machines. The company purchases used TRUMPF laser cutting systems, punching machines, press brakes, combination machines and automation technology worldwide, assesses their suitability and refurbishes them using TRUMPF-certified processes with original spare parts: suitability assessment, disassembly, cleaning, technical reconditioning, repainting, load tests and acceptance. On over 5,000 m² of warehouse space in Backnang, fully refurbished machines are available for immediate delivery; since 2026, I-H&S also distributes new laser cutting systems from JFY for Germany and the Netherlands. The range of services also includes consulting and sales, financing and leasing, software (TRUMPF TruTops), machine and plant relocation, maintenance and service, training as well as transport and packaging including overseas packaging. Customers come from metal and sheet metal processing; the machines are delivered worldwide, among others through the partners Severn Machines (England/Ireland) and Mebema (Benelux).

Foundation of I-H&S GmbH by the company IES and Lothar Schad; initially data transmission systems for machine tools.
- 1989
Lothar Schad honoured by GNT Telematic as the world's highest-revenue provider of data transmission systems.
- 1992
First machine trading: purchase of two TRUMPF machines (TC 180W and TC 180WD) from Buderus.

Start of works refurbishment for used TRUMPF machines in a hall of approx. 300 m².
