Company
Ing. Erich Geiss GmbH & Co. KG is an electrical engineering factory based in Sulzbach/Taunus. The company manufactures motor terminal boards made of thermoset moulding compounds (including UP 804 to DIN EN ISO 14530), including explosion-protected and non-sparking ATEX motor terminal boards, as well as power terminal blocks with Cu power rails and bolt-type terminal boards to DIN 46260. Further product areas are slip ring bodies and brush holders, including the repair and rebuilding of special slip ring bodies to drawing. The value chain includes in-house toolmaking with more than 250 designed mould tools, a punching shop for copper power rails and an automatic turning shop for terminal bolts made of brass. Daily capacity is around 40,000 motor terminal boards for customers worldwide, mainly from electric motor manufacturing and slip ring rotor production. Since 1958, production has been monitored by the State Materials Testing Institute of TU Darmstadt.
