About IBG + Partner
IBG + Partner is an engineering office based in Leipzig that plans, calculates and designs combined bobsleigh, skeleton and luge tracks. The company covers all planning phases: master planning of the sports facility, preliminary and design planning of the track in horizontal and vertical projection, calculation of speeds, g-forces and driving dynamics, as well as the dimensioning of the cross-section profiles. In addition, cost estimates for the track body, detailed planning of safety systems, foundations and weather protection, and coordination of the cooling design with specialist planners are offered. The office's track design software is updated annually; parametric design, BIM, Rhino/Grasshopper and renderings are used for modeling and visualization. During the construction phase, IBG + Partner advises contractors and coordinates the consultations with the technical commissions of the international federations IBSF and FIL up to homologation. Since 1985, practically all artificially refrigerated tracks in the competition calendar of the international federations have been designed, including eight Olympic tracks.
