About J. Schumacher AG
J. Schumacher AG is a joinery based in Wangs in the canton of St. Gallen, focusing on interior fitting and bespoke furniture making. The company produces kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes and cabinets, made-to-measure furniture as well as reception and sales counters, and carries out interior fitting work of every kind including interior architecture services and conversions. In addition, a repair service is offered: furniture repairs and restorations, surface refreshing, kitchen service with replacement of household appliances as well as restoration work after break-ins or water damage. In its own workshop in Wangs, alongside joiners, CNC machinists also work, so that production combines classic joinery with CNC-assisted woodworking. The team of around eleven is led by managing director and owner Arne Schumacher, a certified wood technician (TS) and interior architect. Furthermore, the tradition-rich family business has been engaged in apprentice training for years.

History
- 1932
Johann Schumacher sen. founds a one-man joinery in Wangs, Rosenhalde; the product range comprises made-to-order furniture, interior fitting and general joinery work.
- 1972
Move into the new joinery in the Aeuli; initially managed as a general partnership with a ten-person team, focused on individual interior fitting.
- 1977
Renamed J. Schumacher AG.
- 2010
After 38 years, Johann Schumacher hands over the management to his son Arne Schumacher, who also becomes the owner; repositioning as a program choice and modernisation of the exhibition.
