About JWS Coating Technology
Jakob Weiß & Söhne Maschinenfabrik GmbH (JWS) has been developing and manufacturing since 1948 machines and complete lines for coating, laminating, embossing and finishing web-shaped substrate materials made of plastics, textiles, paper, film and non-wovens. The product range includes knife-over-roll coaters (cylinder, air and rubber blanket coating processes, working widths up to 5,400 mm), roller application systems, hotmelt coating units, scattering machines for powder, granulate and short fibers, embossing lines as well as fabric inspection, cutting and winding machines. Value creation takes place in-house: development and engineering, single-part manufacturing of mechanical assemblies on CNC-controlled machine tools, in-house software development (Product Management System PMS), assembly, commissioning and on-site training. In the company's own technical center in Sinsheim, production-scale lines (TKA-80, PCS-30, TSA-60, STA-110) are available for trials, product development and process optimization. Customers come from the textile, film, paper, battery and fuel cell industries as well as from the fiber composite (prepreg), wallpaper, flooring and synthetic leather sectors in Europe and overseas.
