About k + v

k + v Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH is an independent engineering service provider for rail-bound systems headquartered in Ibbenbüren. Since 1998, the 24-strong team of engineers and technicians has been supporting customers from the railway industry worldwide – from manufacturers and operators such as Deutsche Bahn to authorities and maintenance companies. The range of services includes mechanical and electrical development and design, FEM analyses (static and dynamic according to EN 12663, EN 61373, DVS 1608/1612, FKM, Eurocode, IIW), gauging calculations according to UIC 501 and EN 15273, system integration, component development as well as feasibility studies and fire protection concepts. The materials used are mainly steel and aluminium. As a recognised external body of Eisenbahn-Cert (EBC) at the Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (Federal Railway Authority), the company also handles the complete approval management (NoBo/DeBo) up to the approved vehicle, including manufacturing support and quality control.
