Kanirope® GmbH, based in Dortmund, is a specialist mail-order and online retailer of ropes and cordage made from natural and synthetic fibres as well as personal protective equipment against falls, work at height and rescue technology. The product range includes ropes made of hemp, jute and sisal as well as high-performance ropes made of Dyneema and Kevlar, plus fall protection components such as harnesses, carabiners, descenders, energy absorbers and rescue systems, as well as headlamps and climbing equipment from established brands such as Petzl, Singing Rock and ISC Wales. Customer-specific enquiries and procurement of products not listed round off the standard catalogue. Target groups include industrial climbers, arborists, roofers, scaffolders, workers at height, fire brigades, mountain rescue, telecommunications and energy providers as well as recreational athletes and tradespeople. According to its own statements, the company has supplied more than 170,000 customers since 2008 and can be reached by telephone in German, English and French.
