About us
Klotz CAD-Schulung und Konstruktion is a small engineering office in Bad Köstritz near Gera in Thuringia, founded in January 1999. Owner Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Jens Klotz works as a freelance design engineer and CATIA trainer; he has CATIA experience since 1993, starting with V3. The focus is on component development of plastic parts (1K, 2K, multi-component) as well as rubber, sheet metal, cast, CFRP and GFRP parts, particularly for vehicle interiors such as door grommets, interior lighting, brackets and housings for control units. In addition, the office designs tooling, jigs and fixtures, and special machinery – from a simple hand fixture to a fully automated system, including testing, assembly, welding and handling fixtures. 3D data, drawings, bills of materials, tolerance analyses and function diagrams as well as CATIA training and workshops are offered; a permit for temporary staff placement (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung) is held. Customers are automotive suppliers and OEMs; systems and components are in use for customers worldwide.
