About KMS Automation

KMS Automation GmbH is a special machine builder based in Schramberg-Waldmössingen (Baden-Württemberg). The company, with 115 employees, develops and manufactures automation and assembly technology, clamping devices, leak testing technology as well as fixtures and test benches, with core competencies in aluminium die casting and LTCC technology. A specially developed coating system coats metal foils for battery production on both sides using the doctor blade or nozzle process with a coating thickness of 0.007 mm – up to 7,000 meters per day. At the research site in Dresden, the subsidiary KMS Technology Center GmbH, founded in 2003, works on, among other things, precise foil processing (punching, laser drilling, tape casting of green ceramic foils), clamping technology for CFRP lightweight components and 3D printing of large-format parts. Customers come primarily from the automotive, battery and LTCC technology sectors as well as aerospace; the export ratio is 80%, with a sales and service base in the greater Hong Kong area.
