Kocherscheid GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned company in Wermelskirchen, now run by the fourth generation, specializing in the development and production of folding cartons, packaging and cartons. The range of services covers strategic and economic packaging development including 3D packaging development with virtual filling, in-house production through printing, die-cutting and gluing, as well as contract processing such as contract die-cutting and contract gluing for printers. Since 2016, the company has also offered customized large-format printing on a wide variety of materials with subsequent finishing by cutting, creasing and milling. Materials processed include kraft cardboard as well as renewable raw materials such as silphie cardboard and grass cardboard; since 2017, as an FSC-certified manufacturer, also FSC-certified cardboard. Products are supplied to customers from retail, industry and print finishing; in 2013 an automated packaging system with a palletizing robot was commissioned.

Heinrich Kocherscheid founds his cardboard factory.
- 1906
Purchase of the plots on Goethestraße; construction at today's company site in Wermelskirchen.

Rainer Kocherscheid founds Rainer Kocherscheid Faltschachteln (folding carton production and packaging development).
- 2006
Launch of the Wermelskirchen Advent calendar project.
- 2007
Rainer Kocherscheid takes over the cardboard factory founded by Heinrich Kocherscheid in 1899, in the 4th generation.

Merger of both companies under the company name Kocherscheid.

New construction of the shipping hall for faster logistics.
