Koppold Federn GmbH in Neusäß near Augsburg manufactures technical springs, stamped parts and sheet metal components from single pieces to large-scale series. The product range includes compression, extension and torsion springs, garage door springs, wire bent parts as well as leaf springs and stamped parts – material thicknesses from 0.03 mm, also in rustproof spring band steel and non-ferrous materials. Sheet metal processing is performed by fiber laser cutting, CNC bending and deep drawing from steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. In its own toolmaking department, simple and highly complex progressive compound dies are designed and manufactured; an in-house hardening shop handles heat treatment. Customers include the European automotive and electrical industry, mechanical engineering, and the construction and furniture industries. Extension, compression and torsion springs in quantities of 1–50 pieces are delivered via the rapid manufacturing service within 24 hours.
