About Kreuser Papier
Kreuser Papier GmbH was a wholesale company based in Kerpen specialising in the trade of graphic papers. Founded in May 1935 by Fritz Kreuser, the company traded in sheet papers until the 1970s, buying up overproduction and side runs and cutting them to standard trade formats; the cutting required a high level of cutting expertise. The product range included, among other things, coated papers for printing, hygiene papers, packaging and strapping papers, board and recycled papers. Outstanding branded products were the papers of the Phoeno family and the BVS paper from Papierfabrik Scheufelen. Following the latter's insolvency in 2019 and as a result of declining demand for graphic and office papers, the company ceased its business operations on 31 December 2021 and was subsequently to be liquidated; 44 employees were affected by the closure.
